FXG’s artist Bai Wei, also known as Wieslaw Borkowski Jr. presents, Krakow Encounter. An artistic project funded by the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow. Bai Wei produced two paintings in a Chinese Painting technique on xuan paper, framed in old wood from a Polish pre-war mountain cabin. The artworks depict foggy Krakow with the legendary Wawel Dragon. Another part of the project was a series of city sketches as well as a VR experience, filmed by Bai Wei and produced by FXG. He also produced a soundtrack which blends Chinese guzheng with sounds of the Krakow Signal (St.Mary’s Trumpet Call).
Bai Wei is considered to be a traveling artist and is keen to combine travel and art. Sponsored by the Krakow Municipal Government and officially released!
In addition to the paintings, the project also includes a series of sketches of Krakow's scenery. The past Krakow was a war zone and has changed into much more in the present day.
The unique charm of Chinese and Western music is perfectly integrated here. With the music, you can still hear the horn of war, but you are actually surrounded by the blue sky.
This project gives the opportunity to feel the fusion of art and travel, technology and culture collision.
