The Coronavirus was a disaster and also promoted the development of remote working.
Working from home is safer, but not necessarily more productive than a corporate office. How many people work from home and still work as scheduled? The office environment has affected office efficiency to a large extent, especially for some meetings that require multi-person collaboration. Typical online meetings cannot provide as productive an environment as in-person, but VR can!
The biggest advantage of VR offices is immersive interaction. Ordinary video conferencing can only synchronize people on the same channel, but cannot join people together in an environment, or provide an interactive display. Combining video conferencing and 3D technology, VR offices can create an office environment from anywhere through virtual reality technology, to achieve a comprehensive combination of voice, video systems and 3D virtual sceneries.
Intuitive and vivid VR video conferencing shortens the distance between people and realizes cross-regional connection and interaction.
All you need is a safe place and VR equipment, and you can enter the conference environment.
VR office meetings facilitate the expression of opinions of employees within the company, and also facilitate the building of relationships between potential partners. VR conferences are not limited by time and space. Through a large-scale exchange meeting, they can gather industry enthusiasts around the world to exchange ideas. Even if they are thousands of miles apart, the virtual environment can provide the feeling of the other party being in front of you.
Last week, Nikk participated in the VR talk show, “The Hive”. The video is available to stream. Take a look:
FXG participated in another large VR conference this week: 2020 VR International Educator Summit
本次峰会举办时间为2020年2月17日 -22日，向所有热爱VR教育的人士开放，西顾非常荣幸成为赞助商之一，CEO Nikk和西顾小伙伴们出席了此次活动。
The summit is being held from February 17th to 22nd, 2020. It is open to all those who love or are interested in VR education. FXG is proud to be one of the sponsors. Our CEO, Nikk and some of FXG’s partners attended the event.
The 6-day education summit invited more than 170 speakers to discuss the future direction of XR and how XR will change teaching, training and social media with XR practitioners at home and abroad.
VR teaching breaks the traditional concepts of educational content. Through true-to-life simulation display technology, it provides students with 3D three-dimensional teaching content, enhances teaching authenticity and practicality, deepens students knowledge of knowledge, and promotes students' critical thinking. Secondly, virtual teaching provides great convenience for practical teaching. High-cost experimental courses are usually limited by space and expenses. In VR, these experimental models can be used multiple times. The immersive experience can make students virtually feel the impact of the real environment without causing real, physical injury.
VR education is also not perfect. Professor Tom Furness (pioneer of human-computer interaction, father of virtual reality) proposed in this conference that VR is like a fire. Too much entertainment content will make students obsessed with virtual worlds. What we have to do is show positive, educational content to the students.
This summit is open to everyone. Let's listen to industry scholars' views on the future of VR and VR education, and take the lead to experience the future of our offices and classrooms ~
